Our mission is to provide a more engaging customer experience by bringing some of the advantages of the web to physical spaces and provide this as an affordable subscription service.
Bart founded Sophatar with a vision to create a truly novel experience at physical venues by leveraging the various mobile, sensor, video and audio technologies he worked on for 20+ years at chip and OEM electronics companies. Before founding Sophatar, Bart was VP Product Marketing at NASDAQ-listed Audience (since then acquired by Knowles), a leading supplier of voice and audio processors for mobile handsets. Bart holds a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ghent in Belgium, an MBA degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and is the author / co-author of 6 issued patents including a patent that covers Sophatar's proximity signage.
